Cookies

Our website uses cookies, small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us to make our web presence more user-friendly, effective and secure. Some cookies are known as ‘session cookies’. These are automatically deleted at the end of your browser session. Other cookies are stored on your device until you delete them yourself. These cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.

Modern web browsers allow you to monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured to allow for automatic deletion of cookies when the program is closed. The deactivation of cookies may result in restricted functionality of our website.

Cookies required for electronic communication processes or in provision of certain functions you may require (e.g. shopping cart) are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the smooth, error-free provision of our services. Other cookies that may be set (e.g. for analysis functions) are addressed separately in this privacy policy.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use ‘Google reCAPTCHA’ (hereinafter ‘reCAPTCHA’) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’). The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on our website (e.g. in a contact form) by a human or by an automated program. reCAPTCHA uses various characteristics to analyse the behaviour of the website visitor. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the visitor accesses the website. For its analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates a range of information (e.g. IP address, how long the website visitor spends on the website, mouse movements made by the user). The data captured by this analysis is transferred to Google. reCAPTCHA analysis runs entirely in the background. Website visitors are not alerted that this analysis is taking place.

This data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web presence from improper automated spying and from spam.
